Happy New Year! So it seems that 2011 will be the year of the pie. At least that’s what some food connoisseurs are saying. I thought something was up when I first spotted this Breville Pie Maker last fall (exclusive for Williams Sonoma but no longer available…hmm…) Some predict it will replace the beloved cupcake. I’m not so sure about that one though. Let’s face it, cupcakes are more versatile…they can be sophisticated or kid friendly. You can eat it without utensils and are overall less messy and portable. For now though, I’ve decided to go with it. So stay tuned for a pie post this week. In the mean time, here are some ”mini” pie thoughts …
