What's better than an iced drink as the weather starts getting warmer? Iced coffee lovers can rejoice with this homemade recipe for Iced White Chocolate Mocha. It's easy, made with basic ingredients and at a fraction of the cost of your local coffee shop!

What is an iced white chocolate mocha made with?
Starbucks coffee shop makes a white chocolate mocha with milk, espresso, and their white chocolate sauce. They make it both hot with steamed milk and a refreshing iced version.
You can easily replicate this copycat version at home and even make your own homemade white chocolate sauce. Just check out my recipe for white chocolate sauce and you’ll discover its many other uses too!

Of course, you can also buy white chocolate syrup or sauce. Ghirardelli and Torani both make white chocolate flavors and are available at large grocery stores.
Ingredients for Iced White Chocolate Mocha
Espresso: The easiest way for me to pull a shot of espresso is to use my Nespresso machine. If you don’t have a machine espresso maker, make the espresso with a moka pot, french press, instant espresso powder or drip brew extra strong coffee.
Be sure to use good quality coffee and let the coffee cool down. A strong cold brew coffee could work too.
White Chocolate Sauce: This is where all the white chocolate flavor comes from. You can buy ready made white chocolate sauce. I happened to use my own creamy white chocolate sauce recipe that’s made with simple ingredients.
Milk: My original recipe uses 2% milk. However, use any choice of milk. You can use whole milk, skim milk or plant based milks like oat milk or almond milk.
Ice: I would stick with cubed ice, not crushed ice for best results. You don’t want your iced coffee to water down quickly. For an even stronger taste, use ice cubes made with black coffee!
Whipped Cream: This is totally optional. I’m personally not a fan, but when I do use it I prefer to whip my own by whisking together heavy cream and a spoon or two of powdered sugar.

How to Make an Iced White Chocolate Coffee
Start by brewing a shot of espresso—two for a stronger kick—using your preferred home method.
While the espresso is still warm, stir in the white chocolate sauce until fully melted and combined.

Fill a 10 to 12-ounce tall glass halfway with ice, then pour the espresso and white chocolate mixture over the top.
Add milk to the glass—cold is perfectly fine, but frothing it with a handheld frother adds a lovely creamy texture. Stir everything together gently, and for a little extra indulgence finish with a swirl of whipped cream.

You can even decorate the top with some white chocolate shavings. You can easily make white chocolate shavings using a peeler and a white chocolate bar.
Another decorative option is to sprinkle the top with cocoa powder.

Refreshing, creamy, and just the right amount of sweet—this white chocolate iced espresso is easy to make and enjoy on a hot summer day.
Variations:
Peppermint: The seasonal peppermint white chocolate mocha is a one of my favorite Starbucks drinks. In fact, it inspired me to make white chocolate peppermint mocha cookies. If you have peppermint syrup, you can add a spoonful for an iced treat.
Alcoholic: Add a shot of your favorite alcohol. Try Kahlua, Baileys, or rum.
